Multilizer always keeps supporting the latest versions of Embarcadero. By virtue of this new support for Embarcadero XE, the users of the latest Embarcadero Programming Environment can localize their software with Multilizer.
For developers the sup
port for Embarcadero XE means updated Multilizer Localization Components which gives more choice into the localization possibilities. In practice this means, for instance, that more languages can be added into the software without modifying the actual application and also that the end-users of your software can change the language of the software on run-time.
Translation Validation Wizard compares the translation of a Multilizer project with a translation reference which can be any glossary, translation memory or file containing translations: more than 10 file formats are supported. The wizard compares row level translations and then it calculates a percentage representing the difference between translations in the project and in the reference file. The comparison results are collected also into a statistical report.
Translation Validation Wizard increases the translation quality by enhancing the translation consistency and speeds up the localization process by preforming automatic validation. The user is able to focus only on those parts of translations which have lower validation percentages.
If the source language detection is made completely manually, there is a possibility of making mistakes by choosing wrongly or by forgetting even to make the language choice.
A wrong source language selection could complicate the whole localization project. Automated language detection eliminates this possibility of having an incorrect source language choice.
This automated language detection feature is especially useful in dynamic localization projects which are created and maintained with Multilizer Command-line Tool but it is beneficial also in Multilizer User Interface (UI) version.
With the flagging feature the user is able to mark any row in a Multilizer project either manually or in Batch Translation Wizard.
The flagged rows can be reviewed later, filtered from other rows, exported to an external file, exchanged in external files or GTT and sent to the translators. Users can utilize the flagging feature in countless ways to improve project management and its efficiency.
This improved feature of Multilizer 2011 visualizes automatically the possible changes made to the original text of a localization project.
String Difference Visualization can significantly reduce the time used in translation work, because localization projects usually consists of several text segments, which can be a single word, a sentence, or a paragraph of text, depending on the software or content to localize. If a small modification is made in the middle of a long text segment, it can take time to find it manually.
To tackle this issue, Multilizer 2011 now visualizes the changes inside any text segment showing detailed information if some pieces of text have been changed, removed, added, modified and so on. This makes the work of the translator easier as he or she can see at once all the changes in the source text. Likewise the project manager can evaluate the situation and choose whether to send off changed text segments for translation or not. If wanted this feature can also be turned on/off by the user.
Multilizer gives now more wider and better support for XML localization of than never before. The updated MSXML Scanner now supports the localization of CDATA sections in XML. The new support for CDATA widens distinctly the localization possibilities with XML.
This scanner plug-in is available in Multilizer Enterprise.
Excel Import and Excel Export functions make it possible to use Excel during the localization and translation processes: project strings can be exported to Excel spreadsheet, translations can be imported from Excel and translation references and databases in Excel format can be utilized.
The ability to export and import information to and from excel could be very remarkable if the translator is used to work with Excel or if Excel spreadsheets contain such pieces of information which are not available in Multilizer project format.
This feature is available in separately sold plug-ins: Excel Exporter Plug-in and Excel Importer Plug-in.
This improved plug-in now both supports Delphi XE and C++Builder XE and contains a new feature of filtering strings by property name. This means that the user is able to scan the source code also in the latest Delphi and C++Builder versions. Filtering of strings to scan by property names provides a systematical and efficient way of decreasing the number of strings that need to be translated in the project.
Improved Delphi And C++Builder Source Scanner is available as a separate plug-in.
